The Otisco Lake Preservation Association will meet tonight, Wednesday June 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Amber Inn to discuss the milfoil concern in the lake.
Anyone interested in learning about the association or the milfoil problem is welcome to attend.
Saturday, the OLPA will present the “Homeowner’s Guide to Aquatic Weeds,” from 10 a.m. to noon at the Otisco Lake Marina, 1697 Otisco Valley Road. Co-presented with the Cornell Cooperative Extension, the two-hour session will address the aquatic weed problem in Otisco Lake and what community members can do to help. Topics will include Name That Weed:Distinguishing one weed from another; Weed Management: Overview of aquatic plant management; and Don’t Feed the Weeds: A look at what is causing some problems. In case of rain, presentation will be held at the Otisco Lake Community Center, Amber Road.
