The Oneida Lake Association will hold its 64th annual spring meeting April 27 at Cicero-North Syracuse High School. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.
The meeting is open to the public.
This year’s theme is Your Lake is Changing: Come Listen to the Story. Guest speakers and topics are:
Mark Babenzien, Oneida Fish Cultural Station manager: walleye run and egg take for 2009
Dr. Randy Jackson, senior research biologist, Cornell Field Station, walleye and yellow perch populations for 2009; Jackson also will comment on viral hemorrhagic septicemia as it pertains to Oneida Lake fish populations
Dr. Ed Mills, senior research biologist and retiring director of the Cornell Field Station, Oneida Lake: Weeds, Warmth & Clarity
Martin Lowney, state director for USDA/APHIS/WS, cormorant control for Oneida Lake and beyond
Dave White, New York Sea Grant, Oneida Lake Education Initiative
