On March 19, Elden Elementary School held Donuts for Dudes, a celebration of male role models. Dads and other males important to Elden students were invited to enjoy coffee, juice and a donut with their children before school began.
The celebration is held in schools nationwide at various times during the year to encourage dads and other male role models to actively participate in children’s lives, particularly in the school setting.

This is the school’s second year hosting the event. Local businesses that donated supplies for the event are Starbucks, Wegmans, Dunkin’ Donuts, P&C Foods, Quaker Steak & Lube, Abbotts, Greene Ivy Florist and Mohegan Manor.
