Just at 2009 got underway, the Baldwinsville wrestling team joined 19 other squads at Herkimer County Community College for last Friday’s Mountain Duals.
When all was finished, the Bees had gone 7-3, tying Greece Olympia and Colonie for fourth place in the field. Longwood won with a 10-0 mark, with Valley Central (9-1) and Holland Patent (8-2) rounding out the top three.
B’ville would defeat Hadley Luzerne (63-18), Petrides (53-18), Herkimer (66-16), Adirondack (51-28), Cicero-North Syracuse (63-24), Rome Free Academy (46-19) and Camden (63-13), but take losses to Greece Olympia (43-29), Valley Central (55-30) and Colonie (43-25) before it was all done.
The Bees return to CNY Counties League action Wednesday at West Genesee before a two-day trip to the Buccaneer Duals in Oswego.
