In 2008, the town of Lysander board will begin to meet at 7 p.m. the second and fourth Mondays of every month. Previously meeting on the second and fourth Thursdays, Councilor Jack Krisanda said the board members found that Mondays posed the least conflict in everyone’s schedule.
Seneca River Trail project
The Lysander town board approved a right of acquisition proposal prepared by Barton & Loguidice for the Seneca River Trail project.
The proposal would allow the town to secure right-of-ways from property owners along the proposed trail path with a total cost not to exceed $44,000. The first phase of the trail, funded by a state grant, runs along the Seneca River in Lysander from the village of Baldwinsville to the Seneca Knolls pump station. The right-of-way costs were not included in the grant.
Lysander extends moratorium
The town voted to extend a temporary moratorium for zone changes in the AR-40 zoning district to allow for more time to consider the Transfer of Development Rights program, an experimental program being pioneered by the town board to control development in the Cold-Springs Peninsula.
The new extension expires March 30.
Special meeting next Thursday
The town of Lysander will hold a special meeting to call an executive session to discuss personnel matters at 5 p.m. Thursday Dec. 27 at the town hall, 8220 Loop Road in Radisson.
