The Camillus town board voted unanimously to take action on concerns about the safety of the exit to the H.H. Beebe Learning Center, or Camillus Middle School, at the Nov. 27 meeting.
Councilor Roger Pisarek had mentioned that there was no stop sign at the exit on Ike Dixon Road. The exit sits directly across the street from the new Westshire development.
“Now that we have a development there, it was a good idea to put a stop sign at the exit,” said Town Supervisor Mary Ann Coogan. “What we have now is almost like a two-way intersection, which is a lot safer.”
The sign will be placed on the south-side corner of the Camillus Middle School and Ike Dixon Road.
