Robert E Jenkins, 85, of Baldwinsville, passed away peacefully on Oct. 28, 2020, at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, N.Y. He was born June 29, 1935 in Quincy, MA, to Edward F. and Doris (Hough) Jenkins.
He was a graduate of Pawtucket High School and graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in electrical engineering. He worked his way through college with General Electric and continued working there until he retired in March 1993.
Bob was an active member of Seneca River Lodge, Royal Arch Masons and a Past DeMolay Advisor. He was a big sports fan especially of Syracuse University and any Boston team. He also enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing and reading. He kept his sense of humor to the end.
He was predeceased by his parents and a grandson, Nicholas Jenkins.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 61 years, Dorothy M (Nelson) Jenkins of Baldwinsville: two sons, Dana (Kathryn) Jenkins of Stillwater, N.Y., and Richard (Kathleen) Jenkins of Marcellus: grandchildren, Michelle (Michael) Greene, Danielle (Michael) Hall, Taylor Jenkins, Richelle Jenkins and Kyle Jenkins: five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life will be held in the future.
