To the editor:
The Cazenovia Preservation Foundation sincerely thanks the thoughtful and generous Cazenovia community for the steadfast commitment you have made for over 50 years to protect our historic, agricultural and natural resources. This effort began in 1962 when concerned Cazenovians formed the Citizens Advisory Committee for Town and Village Planning. That group evolved into the Cazenovia Preservation Foundation in 1967.
Since that time, the people of Cazenovia have developed a reputation for caring about their history and the natural landscapes of this wonderful area. This effort continues, with a new generation of concerned Cazenovians and new, sometimes unforeseen, challenges. Our Half Century Dinner last Friday provided an opportunity to reflect on the past and envision the future. CPF would like especially to thank all those businesses and people that supported our Half Century Dinner and the continuing work of CPF.
CPF has always been a collection of Cazenovians dedicated to making this a better place. We celebrate 50 years of effective work and look forward to 50 more years of protecting the history and open spaces that make Cazenovia such a wonderful place to live.
