It promises to be a battle of the Brothers, as Christian Brothers Academy holds its 23rd Annual CBA Bottar Leone Holiday Classic on Tuesday December 29, and Wednesday Dec. 30 at the school, located at 6245 Randall Road in Dewitt.
In round one of the tournament, CBA Syracuse faces CBA Albany in a rematch from last year’s NY State regional finals. Also a Christian Brothers school, St. Peter’s Boys High School of Staten Island will compete in the tournament, taking on Westhill High School in the first round at CBA’s John Lynch Gymnasium.
Men’s and women’s alumni basketball games, a junior varsity bracket and presentation of CBA’s Purple & Gold Award also will highlight the event. Admission is $5.

4:30 p.m.: Fifth Annual CBA Women’s Alumni Basketball Game (Callahan Gym)
5:15 p.m.: 24th Annual CBA Men’s Alumni Game (Callahan Gym)
6:45 p.m.: Westhill vs. St. Peter’s
8 p.m.: Presentation of 2009 Alumni Purple & Gold Award to CBA Assistant Varsity Basketball Coach Ed Leone, ’74.
8:15 p.m.: CBA Syracuse vs. CBA Albany
Wednesday Dec. 30
5:30 p.m.: Consolation Game
7:15 p.m.: Championship Game
Junior Varsity games also are scheduled for the afternoons of Dec. 29 and 30. Admission to Junior Varsity games is $1.
