BALDWINSVILLE – Ending its September slate, the Baldiwnsville girls swim team welcomed Christian Brothers Academy to the Baker High School pool last Tuesday night.
And while the Bees fell 54-38 to the Brothers, it still managed to see Ashley Konz win a pair of individaul races.
In the 200-yard individual medley, Konz posted two minutes, 30.70 seconds to pull away from CBA’s Jenna Filhan, who was second in 2:39.84.
Later, in the 100 breastroke, Konz pulled out a closer race, her 1:18.62 just beating out the 1:19.20 from the Brothers’ Claire Krueger.
Mia Rinko took second in the 100 freestyle, her 1:03.25 just behind Krueger’s 1:02.88, with Rinko also second in the 50 freestyle in 28.89 seconds to Josie Lachut’s 28.59.
Erin Gruppe got second in the 200 freestyle in 2:22.54 and went 1:16.97 in the 100 backstroke, close behind Mia Ludington’s 1:15.75 for the Brothers. Gruppe, Rinko, Konz and Karis Thompson finished second in the 200 freestyle relay in 2:06.14.
If the schedule holds, B’ville will swim three times in five days this week, visiting Syracuse City and Mexico before a Saturday visit from West Genesee.
