David’s Refuge Grows Awareness at 6th Annual Taste of David’s Refuge

Taste of David’s Refuge provides guests with a taste of the services offered throughout the year to parents and guardians of children with special needs or life-threatening illnesses. The evening celebrates the community coming together to support parents who need a reminder that they are not alone on their journey.

The 2019 Taste of David’s Refuge will be held Friday, September 13, from 7 to 10 p.m. at Redbarn 20, 2555 U.S. 20, Cazenovia, NY.

This year’s event is presented by Haun Specialty Gases and includes Laura Serway, owner of Laci’s Tapas Bar in Syracuse, who is emceeing for a third consecutive year, and the musical talent by folk singer Mike Powell and Stringdom. The food and beverages are graciously donated by Chef Billy Brendan-Ginty, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, Empire Brewing Company, The Scratch Bakehouse, Sherwood Inn, Brae Loch Inn, Gannon’s Ice Cream, Bull and Bear, Lincklaen House, and Recess Coffee.

The mission of David’s Refuge is to provide respite, resources, and support to parents and guardians of children with special needs or life-threatening medical conditions where they will be refreshed, restored and renewed in their role as caregivers.
