On May 12, the Rotary Club of Dewitt plans to support non-profit organizations during their 64th Annual Pancake Day at Shoppingtown Mall in Dewitt. All of the proceeds from the event will be donated to local charities, as well as national and international causes.
Pre-event tickets are $7 each or 2 for $10, and tickets on the day of are $8. On the back of each ticket is a $10 coupon to Dick’s Sporting Goods good thru the entire year. The event, which draws several thousand people each year from across the Central New York area, will occur from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Last year Pancake Day raised money for organizations such as the Jim and Julie Boeheim Foundation, the Samaritan Center, Habitat for Humanity, Boy Scouts Troop 22 Eagle Scouts, YMCA Camp Iroquois, OHA History Day, McMahon Ryan Child Advocacy, the Dewitt Fire Dept., Monarch Industries, F-M and J-D High School scholarships, Shelter Box USA, CNY Books for the World, Clear Path for Veterans, Polio Plus, On Point for College, the DeWitt Community Library, Meals on Wheels, Town of Dewitt Canal Days, Disabled American Veterans and Old Newsboys.
