Once again, the Fayetteville-Manlius boys bowling team bore witness to a 300 game in a Salt City Athletic Conference Metro division match.
Only this time, it was the opposition reaching perfection during the Hornets’ 2-1 defeat to Baldwinsville last Monday at B’ville Sports Bowl, thanks to the effort of the Bees’ Tanner Rozycko.
In the first game of his series against F-M, Rozycko saw all 12 of his shots go through the pocket and result in strikes for that 300 game, and he didn’t stop there, eventually producing a 776 series thanks to games of 234 and 242.
F-M’s Kevin Winschel, who shot his own 300 against West Genesee in December, got close to perfection here, too, shooting a 276 game with 10 strikes as part of a 733 set.
Helping Winschel out, Adam Koss had a 596 series and 240 high game, while Justin Brooks had a 550 series and 191 high game. Dan Fiumara’s 213 game led to a 539 set as B’ville’s Dylan Williams shot a 264 game during his 626 series
Meanwhile, the F-M girls team lost 3-0 to B’ville. Lydia Chase had a 557 series and 189 high game for the Hornets, with Rachel Hance adding a 446 series as Brooke Flask (568 series), Jenna Spiech (540 series) and Julia Spiech (525 series) led the Bees.
Christian Brothers Academy returned from its holiday hiatus last Monday and swept Altmar-Parish-Williamstown. The boys Brothers prevailing 3-0 over the Rebels with Nate Vault shooting a 528 series (200 high game) and John Dodge’s 205 game leading to a 497 set. Alex Heitman contributed a top game of 177.
Meanwhile, the CBA girls won 2-1 over APW as Karrina Pullano led with a 334 series, just ahead of the 326 series from Anna Ziemba and 323 series from Gabrielle Zollo.
Another close match on Wednesday at Strike-N-Spare Lanes had CBA’s girls defeat Chittenango 4-3, even though the Bears’ Brooke DiFlorio had the best series of 489 and best game of 204.
Ziemba and Annie Kilmartin both finished with 399 series, Ziemba getting a 153 high game as Pullano had a 346 series, beating out Gabrielle Zollo (329 series) and Sophia Schultz (318 series).
The boys match was different, CBA blanking Chittenango 7-0 with Eddie Niles shooting a 197 game on his way to a 521 series. Vault’s 192 game was part of a 492 set. Colin Slafosky shot a 177 game in a 463 series and Garrett Bowman’s 173 game led to a 454 series.
