To the editor:
Mayor Mike Keville demonstrates the public trust needed to be our next Madison County Clerk. His goal is to make a good organization even better. He has a sound customer-service background and a strong work ethic with high integrity and commitment to our county, which is essential for this position. Our County Clerk has enormous responsibilities. This office processed transactions totaling over $13 million in public funds and returning over a million to our county, including well over 100,000 motor vehicle transactions.
Mike understands the importance of our 12.7 percent retention fee on DMV transactions, the managing of records and required retention statutes, and the importance of the New York States Real ID process in relation to the security of our citizens. He is dedicated to preserving constituents’ privacy by making records available on line in a responsible manner. His experience is exceptional and vital to fill the shoes of the Madison County Clerk: Mayor of Chittenango, social studies teacher, business owner and serving on the Sullivan Zoning Board. He has experience in million-dollar budgeting and providing results to the taxpayers.
Please be with me in voting to give Mike Keville this opportunity of a lifetime.
Kenneth J Kunkel Jr.
Retired Madison County Clerk
