The village of East Syracuse Parks and Recreation department is offering many activities for children during the week of February break (Feb. 16 to 19), including a gymnastics party, a bingo and movie event, bumper rock n’ bowl and an intramural and pizza party.
Pre-registration is required for all of the events, and can be done by filling out a registration form at the Village of East Syracuse Offices at 204 N. Center St. in East Syracuse. Registration is limited for events and are taken on a first-come, first-serve basis. Call Tom Richardson, director of East Syracuse Parks and Recreation, at 952-0038 for more information.
The activities that are offered that week are as follows:
?Gymnastics Party — 10 to 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 16 at the GC2 Gymnastics Center, 6796 North Boulevard, East Syracuse. Ages four to 13 years of age are able to enjoy one and a half hour of gymnastics. Cost is $5 per child, transportation to the event is not provided. Check-in is at the front entrance of the facility.
?Bingo and a Movie — 11 a.m. to 2:10 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 17, East Syracuse Village Office, 204 N. Center Street, East Syracuse. Bingo runs from 11 a.m. to noon (parents are welcome to help their child), movie will run 12:30 to 2:10 p.m. Cost is $1 for village residents and $2 for non-residents. Popcorn and a drink will be provided, please bring a lunch.
?Youth Bumper Rock n’ Bowl — 9:30 to 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 18, Bowl Mor Lanes, 201 Highland Avenue, East Syracuse. For children age four to 13. Cost is $6 and includes one and a half hours of bowling, shoe rental, a slice of pizza and soda. Payments need to be made directly to Bowl Mor Lanes on the day of the event.
?Intramural and pizza party — 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 19, East Syracuse Elementary gym. ESE physical education teacher Steve Graham will host intramural activities for children in grades first through fifth. Cost is $5 and includes participation in the activities, pizza and refreshments. Payments should be made to Steve Graham the day of the event.
