Edward “Bud” Kent Sunderman, 78, of Cazenovia, passed away on March 10, 2021. Bud is survived by his children, Eden and Shayne (Connie) Sunderman, who loved him very much, and his brothers, Gary (Margie) and Mark (Jan) Sunderman, his aunt, Judy Hull and his best friend, William (Linda) McCall who he loved like a brother; his former wife, Olivia, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Janice C. Sunderman and father, Edward A. Sunderman.
Bud owned and managed his fourth generation family business, Sunderman’s Plumbing and Heating, with his son, Shayne, and earlier with his brothers in Cazenovia. Bud also lived in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., where he managed Frank Orisek’s Plumbing and Heating for many years before moving back to Cazenovia. Bud retired to Manning, SC, in 2008, where he made wonderful life-long friends.
Bud loved life, he loved to organize and supervise and was very good at those things – ranging from the annual NASCAR trek to Watkins Glen, N.Y., to his Thursday golf league in Manning, SC. Bud enjoyed people, socializing and was happiest when he was with friends and family. There are many joyful memories sitting on his best friend’s “porch” overlooking Lake Marion in South Carolina. Bud will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
