DeWitt/Jamesville Library Offers Virtual Programming
While the Community Library of DeWitt & Jamesville may not be open to the public physically, we can still gather as a community through social media and in online forums. We are excited to announce two virtual programs available to you through Google Meet and Zoom.
On Thursday, April 9 at 7:00pm, teens in grades 6 to 12 are invited to join Young Adult Librarian Nan Brown on Google Meet (https://meet.google.com/zin-akey-ncj?authuser=1) for a discussion of the mystery novel Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson. Ellingham Academy is “A place… where learning is a game,” until the founders wife and daughter are kidnapped. The only clue is a mocking riddle signed “Truly, Devious”. True-crime aficionado Stevie Bell and her housemates work together to uncover the culprit in this entertaining read.
Then, on Wednesday, April 15 at 6:30pm, adult readers are cordially invited to join us on Zoom for a discussion of Lily King’s new book, Writers & Lovers. Librarian Kara Conley will host this look at the transfixing novel that “explores the terrifying and exhilarating leap between the end of one phase of life and the beginning of another.” The book discussion will take place on the Zoom platform, and a link will be sent out to participants who register by RSVP to: [email protected].
Both Truly Devious and Writers & Lovers are available as ebooks to download for free with your library card via Hoopla. Visit https://www.hoopladigital.com/ to download your copy today.
