Jordan-Elbridge
voters approved the district’s $30,400,000 budget for 2017-18 with 386 yes votes to 68 no votes, elected three Board of Education members, and also voted to establish a school bus capital reserve fund (378 yes and 73 no).
Voters supported an increase of $5,000 for the Elbridge Free Library (348 yes, 103 no) and an increase of $5,000 for the Jordan Bramley Library (348 yes, 103 no).
Voters also elected three candidates for three open Board of Education seats:

Marcellus approved a $34,392,500 budget for the 2017-18 school year that increases spending 2.97 percent ($999,227), and carries a 1.98 percent tax levy increase: 527 yes, 213 no.
• Approved the purchase of four school buses and one passenger van at a cost no greater than $262,074: 545 yes, 195 no.
• Re-elected one Board of Education and voted in one newcomer: Dr. David Locastro (504 votes) and Margaret Vensel (612 votes). They will serve three-year terms starting July 1.
• Approved the establishment of a capital reserve fund to which the district may add surplus funds, up to $5 million, over a 10-year period: 526 yes, 211 no.
• Approved an annual budget increase of $10,062 for Marcellus Free Library: 510 yes, 229 no.
West Genesee residents approved the 2017-2018 budget and bus propositions on May 16, 2017.
The $85,216,870 budget received 1,073 favorable votes and 186 votes in opposition.
A second proposition to purchase district vehicles was approved 1,014 to 247. Thank you to the community for your continued support!
Another proposition that would provide funding for two area libraries (Maxwell and Fairmount) was put to a vote. The proposition for Maxwell and Fairmount Libraries was approved with 979 votes in favor and 280 votes opposed.
Elected to the Board of Education for three-year terms beginning in July, are incumbents Shawn J. Mitchell with 877 votes, James M. Soper with 927 votes, and Neil B. Widrick with 882 votes. Tonya D. Wilson received 632 votes.
