About 75 representatives from local businesses and organizations from across Central New York last week gathered at Owera Vineyards in Cazenovia to enjoy food, wine and networking at the second annual Chamber Night, which was organized by the Greater Manlius Chamber of Commerce.
On Aug. 11, members from several area chambers of commerce were in attendance at the event, including the Greater Cazenovia Area Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Manlius Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Sullivan Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Liverpool Chamber of Commerce.
“Last year, we were trying to figure out how to get all of the area chambers together,” said Judy Dardzinski, Greater Manlius Chamber of Commerce president. “It was very successful in the first year so we decided to do it again … It allows members to network while enjoying some great food and sampling wine and beer.”
Attendees got the chance to sample wine made at Owera, and some of their brick oven pizzas that are made from fresh ingredients grown on the property. This event has been held at Owera for both years it has been offered.
“I’m a big believer in reciprocity,” said Nancy Muserlian, owner of Owera Vineyards. “If you do business with someone, they’re likely to do business with you.”
