Camillus Erie Canal Park hosted its second annual dog show Sunday, June 3, at the park grounds on Devoe Road.
More than 28 canines were entered to be judged in the categories of funniest, most talented, closest resemblance to owner, most obedient, best groomed and best dressed.
“I think we’re going for most spoiled,” said Camillus resident Tom Halliwell with his 3-year-old Cockapoo, Cubby, in his arms.
The event was organized by park volunteer Linda Vishnesky, who called the turn-out “phenomenal.”
“We have a wide range of sizes and breeds … and what they can do, their tricks and everything,” she said. “And their costumes are just adorable.”
Just about every dog was awarded a ribbon, after which the owners (along with “well-behaved” dogs) were invited to tour the canal aboard the Ontario.
