Five new LED snowflakes will grace the village streets this holiday season.
After receiving a $1,200 donation from the Baldwinsville Women’s Garden Club and a $1,000 beautification gift from the Greater Baldwinsville Chamber of Commerce, village officials used the money to purchase five five-foot diameter snowflakes and 15 three-foot diameter snowflakes to be displayed in the business district and Village Square, respectively. The village contributed $5, 250 toward the effort.
According to Mayor Joseph Saraceni, the Oktoberfest Committee donated $5,000 toward the effort last year, which the village matched. “[Decorating the village] has been a public-private partnership,” Saraceni said. “These donations continue that effort, which rounds out the village holiday decorations.”
The village was able to get the snowflakes on sale at 30 percent off from Downtown Decorations, of Syracuse.
