When you watch the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade on Thursday, keep an eye and ear out for a group of dancers performing to the song “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” and you should see Skaneateles native Rachael Scarr in the troupe.
Scarr, a 2009 graduate from Skaneateles High School, will be dancing with a group of Collaborative Arts Project 21 (CAP 21) students to the song being performed by the “United We Sing” group.
Scarr has done numerous high school and local theater productions in the Skaneateles area. She worked at Merry-Go-Round Playhouse in Auburn the first summer after her freshman college year at NYU. She is now a junior in the CAP 21 musical theatre program.
The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade starts at 9 a.m. Thursday.
