The downtown Cazenovia shopping scene is about to get a little sweeter. Local real estate agent and entrepreneur Bill Carroll plans to open a new candy store at 7 Lincklaen St. in late June.

“The feedback we’ve been getting has been great. I think residents are excited,” said Carroll. “We plan on selling penny-candy and hope to feature a few unique specialty lines.”

Carroll will receive help running the store from his wife Beth and four younger daughters. The business, to be named the “Cazenovia Candy Shoppe” will be open by July 1.
