Joe Erardi picked a good time to find perfection.
The East Syracuse-Minoa boys bowling senior claimed the dream of everyone who hits the lanes during last Wednesday’s 3-1 victory over Chittenango at Strike-N-Spare Lanes.
Erardi stepped up and, for the first time in his bowling career, strung together 12 consecutive strikes for a perfect 300 game.
What made it more impressive was that Erardi rolled his 300 in the third game, when a bowler usually tires and shots commonly fly off target. Instead, he improved from his earlier 213 and 219 games and finished with a 732 series.
Close behind, ESM freshman Sean Gavan notched a 254 game during his 655 set, matching what Chittenango’s Taylor Webber accomplished as he finished with a 257 high game and 656 series.
Meanwhile, Alyssa Boccardo stood out in the ESM girls’ 4-0 victory over Chittenango, shooting a 269 game on her way to a 619 set. Christina Episcopo added a 550 set (203 high game) and Alysha Buck earned a three-game total of 535.
