Temple Concord will begin the Chanukah celebration with a “not-so-traditional” dinner and Shabbat service at 6 p.m. Friday Dec. 3.
The Temple will provide a traditional Chanukah meal supplemented by potluck offerings from the congregation. Following the meal, a Sabbath service will be held at 7:30 p.m. featuring the Temple’s volunteer choir, the Knesseth Shalom singers.
Chanukah is the celebration of the rededication of the Temple in Jerusalem, after it was destroyed by enemy forces. The holiday begins at sundown on Wednesday Dec. 1.
Dinner is $10 for adults, $8 for youth (5-12) and free for ages 0-4, with a $35 family maximum; non-members are encouraged to attend and celebrate the holiday. For information and reservations, call 475-9952 or [email protected].
