Rural/Metro Lead Paramedics Scott Burbidge and Matthew Nesbitt have been awarded a Regional Call Commendation from the Central New York Regional Emergency Medical Services Council.
In March, Burbidge and Nesbitt responded to an emergency call for an unconscious person. Upon their arrival, they found a 44-year- old patient in full cardiac arrest. Burbidge and Nesbitt’s collaborative work with the Syracuse Fire Department was cited as key to the patient’s survival.
