As the cap to an undefeated week, the Baldwinsville girls tennis team won its division of Saturday’s Central New York Invitational, scoring 45 points as Fulton finished second with 31 points. The Bees won two of the three singles divisions. Amari Pollard beat Oswego’s Sarah Mancuso for the second singles title, while Catherine Corsito took out Jordan-Elbridge’s Becca Jorelemon for the third singles championship. Kahlei Reisinger was third in the first singles division. Sarah Corcoran and Taylor Ferrari knocked off the Oswego tandem of Aubrey Schrader and Allison Yule 6-3, 6-1 to win the second doubles division. Alexandra Meanor and Madison Price won in third singles, while Hannah Mautz and Taylor Slink beat the field in fourth doubles. Quickly bouncing back from its narrow Sept. 17 defeat to Liverpool, the Bees began another week of work by sweeping past Henninger 7-0 last Monday afternoon. Pollard, in first singles, handled Jocelyn Copes 6-2, 6-1 as Reisinger and Corsito lost just one game between them in wins over, respectively, Nickey Sereluca and Eva Bouchard. Leading the doubles charge, Melinda Davis and Rachel Taylor topped Bailey Gillies and Courtney O’Toole 6-0, 6-3. The duos of Ferrari-Maddie Fiello, Price-Colleen Morgan and Taylor Harris-Leena Miano surrendered a total of two games in six sets of work. After Wednesday’s match with Cicero-North Syracuse was rained out, the Bees turned to Friday’s contest with Oswego and also shut out the Buccaneers 7-0. Reisinger, Pollard and Corsito swept through singles play, with Mautz and Slink preserving the doubles sweep by beating Cathryn Darling and Rebecca Krass 6-2, 7-6 (7-5). The teams of Davis-Taylor, Price-Morgan and Corcoran-Ferrari also had straight-set victories
