Specific training accomplished
The Skaneateles Fire Department along with Mottville Fire hosted a full-day bus extrication training on Saturday July 24 at the town of Skaneateles Highway Department with nationally renowned extrication expert Ron Moore. Even though the temperature hovered around 90 and the humidity just as high, 20 members of the two fire companies, along with four members of the Moyers Corners Department, participated in this eight hour training session, which provided hands on, real life experiences for those involved. This training is invaluable when dealing with motor vehicle collisions, especially those involving school buses.
