West Genesee Central School District voters approved a $69,938,455 budget for the 2010-11 school year tonight 2,037 to 728.
A proposition to purchase eight school buses at a cost not to exceed $838,430 also received voter approval with 1,805 yes and 943 no votes.
School board incumbents Donna Scrimale and Roberta Herron will be joined by newly elected member Karen Fruscello; challengers Neil Widrick and Vladimiro Hart-Zavoli were not voted in.
Candidates received the following votes:
Donna Scrimale, 1,644 votes
Karen Fruscello, 1,491 votes
Roberta Herron, 1,419 votes
Neil Widrick, 1,252 votes
Vladimiro Hart-Zavoli, 815 votes
