Village officials have appointed six members to the newly formed Baldwinsville Development Corporation (BDC), which will administer the Inter-mediary ReLending Program (IRP) offered through the US Department of Agriculture. IRP funds are lent to the BDC, which, in turn, provides loans to recipients who are developing business facilities or community development projects. The purpose of the IRP is to finance locally run revolving loan programs for small businesses unable to qualify for bank financing.
BDC members have a combination of financial and business expertise and include Carol Delia, Rosemary Bucci, Don Collin, Rhonda Rapier and Ed McManus. Mayor Saraceni will also hold a position on the BDC board, as will future mayors. The group is seeking a seventh board member, preferably a Certified Public Accountant.
