Getting wins throughout the meet proved beneficial to the Baldwinsville boys swim team as it went to Nottingham last Wednesday night and beat the Bulldogs, 98-83, to improve its league record to 3-2 (3-3 overall).
Dan Burke won twice on his own, going through the 200 freestyle in 1:58.78 and swimming the 100 backstroke in a time of 1:03.55. In the middle of this, Burke teamed with Mick Tarsel, Nate Menapace and Connor Murphy to claim the 200 freestyle relay in 1:37.92.
Murphy took first place in the 500 freestyle in 5:39.35. Zach Atkers won the 100 breaststroke (1:16.69) and Ben Landwersiek claimed the 100 butterfly in 1:03.36.
On the other side, Dan O’Connor, who swims for Nottingham but actually is from Westhill, continued his dominance by taking the 50 freestyle in 22.50 seconds and 100 freestyle in 48.65 seconds — and neither event is his specialty. B’ville is back home this Friday to face Auburn.
