Make that 19 consecutive wins for the Fayetteville-Manlius girls swim team after it went to Oswego last Wednesday night and ripped the Buccaneers 107-73. Hadley Cameron-Carter helped Melissa James, Delaney Pfohl and Alex Murphy open the meet by winning the 200 medley relay in a time of 1:59.33. On her own, Cameron-Carter swam the 100 freestyle in 57.44 seconds, and went on to take the 100 backstroke in 1:05.38. James, meanwhile, won the 200 individual medley (2:25.47) and also earned first place in the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.76. Katie Pechacheck earned a pair of victories, starting with the 200 freestyle (2:11.49) and moving on to win the 500 freestyle in 5:51.61. Amy Bright added a diving title with 184.35 points as she teamed with Cameron-Carter, James and Murphy to tear through the 200 freestyle relay in 1:48.05. As that was going on, Christian Brothers Academy stayed unbeaten in its meet against Fulton at LeMoyne College’s pool, handling the Red Raiders 92-55 to improve its mark to 5-0. Summer Schmitt, Aubrey Letourneau, Kathryn Coughlin and Maggie Fletcher combined for a time of 1:56.95 in the 200 medley relay. Fletcher went on to take the 100 butterfly in 1:02.89 as Letourneau (58.60 seconds) claimed first place in the 100 freestyle. Ruthie Speidel won the 200 freestyle (2:02.60), just before Destiny Cerlanek swam the 200 IM in 2:24.55. Juliette Wetzel won the 50 freestyle (26.03 seconds) as Bridget Bellardini needed 6:15.37 to prevail in the 500 freestyle.
