Gorelick to present preliminary site plan at special Marcellus planning board meeting
The village of Marcellus planning board will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday April 29 at village hall for a preliminary site plan review of a development proposed for East Main Street.
Jeremy Gorelick, of Eamanon Equities, is currently planning a large-scale development project for a section of Main Street east of Marcellus Town Hall. If approved, the project would include a new 8,400-square foot mixed-use building that would incorporate a large Victorian-era home currently in disrepair and several condominium and townhouse complexes along Ninemile Creek.
Planning Board Chair Dick Kelly said Gorelick hopes to have the preliminary plans poised for approval for the May 20 planning board meeting.
Gorelick has been making frequent visits to the planning board for about six months and is currently working with the board to develop plans in line with the village and town visions of revitalization. His work on the Seitz building in Skaneateles has been clouded with controversy over the recent eviction of Morris’ Grill, but Kelly said the reception to his plans in Marcellus has thus far been positive.
The April 29 meeting is open to the public but is not a public hearing and will not allow time for public comment.
