As almost 250 people gathered in the lobby of the Palace Theater to hear Joe Nicoletti announce his candidacy for mayor, the once and future contender delighted the crowd with a flourish, calling out, “Elizabeth Nicoletti for mayor.”
His daughter had just introduced him with the poise and passion expected of a candidate.
“Liz is the epitome of what Syracuse is and is going to be. She and her fiance are getting married and will stay in this community by choice,” Nicloletti said to the crowd.
