Hitting double digits in the win column, the Baldwinsville ice hockey team improved its mark to 10-3-1 last Tuesday night, shutting out Auburn 4-0 at Lysander Arena. Clearly, the Bees were happy to be home after some struggles during the holiday break, but that didn’t manifest immediately, as the Maroons kept the game 0-0 in the first period. B’ville broke through in the second period, though, scoring three times. Ultimately, the Bees took 39 shots, more than double Auburn’s output, as Nick Leader earned 19 saves for the shutout. Balanced in its attack, B’ville had four different players get the four goals. Brad Burlingame, Paul Schneid, Brett Earle and Connor Bertrand all scored, with Burlingame and Schneid earning assists, too. Adam Mohr and Mark Belluci also found their way to the assist column. The Bees go back on the road Saturday to face Ithaca.
