The Lakeside Performing Arts Series proudly announces its next offering, a concert by the The Carol Bryant Quartet at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10 at St. James Episcopal Church (Lower Chapel), 96 E. Genesee St., Skaneateles.
This all age’s show asks for a $10 donation and children 18 and younger attend for free!
This group keeps growing! Carol began performing with longtime Elbridge neighbor Bruce Wood before joining up with bass player David Arliss in 2014. This trio released, in 2016, The Carol Bryant Trio plus a few good friends (SubCat Studios) recording just in time to nominated for the 2017 SAMMY Awards in the category of “Best Jazz Group.” This past summer, the trio added a fourth in drummer Steve Orlando.
This ensemble now focuses its formidable talents on a variety of styles and each show promises a range of tunes from bossa nova and other jazz styles to the contemporary sounds of Norah Jones, Sting, Jason Mraz, Christina Perri and others.
Carol, Bruce, Dave, and Steve are committed to improving their personal musicianship and their performance as a quartet. They each believe that music is primarily for listeners, not performers, and are dedicated to giving their audience members a sincere, authentic, and personal musical experience each time they play.
The Lakeside Performing Arts Series is funded in part by the Skaneateles Area Arts Council.
