Manlius — The Town of Manlius Police Department report they were dispatched to a 911 call on Feb. 4 where a caller said gunshots had been fired at an East Syracuse Minoa school bus, but found that the claims in the call were fictitious.
Officers report that at about 2:10 p.m. on Feb. 4, a 911 caller reported gunshots had been fired at the school bus. The caller, who was described as sounding like a juvenile male, then called 911 three additional times and hung up.
Preliminary investigation into the matter identified the caller as a juvenile and police determined the report was fictitious and there was no threat to the bus or its occupants at any time. Furthermore there were no injured parties on the bus.
Police say because the caller was found to be a juvenile, their name will not be released.
