The New York State Department of Transportation began the reconstruction of Albany Street on Monday, Sept. 28, with an anticipated completion date of Nov. 1, according to Bill Carr, Cazenovia village public works administrator.
Reconstruction will include the removal of the brick crosswalks, reconstruction of some sidewalks and the resurfacing of the street. During this time there will be delays and limited parking on Albany Street on certain days.
Beginning this past Monday morning, the crosswalks began being removed at Albany and Lincklaen streets; during this time, Albany Street will be reduced to a single alternating lane so there will be delays and limited parking in that area, Carr said.
