Morrisville-Eaton’s girls volleyball team could not make it past the initial stages of last week’s Section III Class C-2 playoffs.
The no. 6 seed Warriors took on no. 3 seed Sandy Creek and lasted for four games before the Comets eliminated them.
Sandy Creek dominated each of the first two games, winning them by margins of 25-8 and 25-13. When M-E rose up and took the third game 25-15, the Comets responded by dominating the fourth game 25-13.
Gabby Lake had nine kills, four aces and three blocks, as Warrior teammate Kendall Pickett had six kills and seven aces. Veronica Metz had 10 assists, three kills and three aces.
For the victorious Comets, Chelsea Krump had 11 kills, Chissa King served up eight aces and Brittney McGrath added 18 assists. M-E finished its season with a record of 8-11.
