Baldwinsville — February is on the horizon with lots of new reasons to love your library. Start your kids and grandkids out right next month by joining us for the third annual Take Your Child to the Library from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6. There will be contests, crafts and displays in the library all day and an appearance at 10:30 a.m. from the ever-popular Bubble Man.
It’s a great chance to really explore the library and all it has to offer including books, magazines, films, audiobooks and computer access for all ages.
Take the time to test your dramatic skills with our puppet palace, build things at the Lego table, investigate the depths of our seasonally decorated doll house and rediscover the joys of our various magazine collections.
Browse the picture books; discover the joys of nonfiction with books on everything from fairy tales and Ancient Egypt to crafts and biographies.
Check out our online databases on your tablet while the kids explore ABC Mouse and other learning programs on our kids’ computer stations.
Best of all, bring your id and make sure the whole family is library-ready with their very own library card and PIN number the better to check out free education and entertainment at a moment’s notice and even access our online resources including e-books, audiobooks, music and video downloadables even when the doors are closed. Your library card is an all access pass to the world — don’t leave home without it.
