Artist demonstrations, new member reception scheduled
Cazenovia Artisans has announced that during the weekend of Saturday, Sept. 30, and Sunday, Oct. 1, its members will participate in the sixth annual Cazenovia Art Trail both in their home studios and at the Artisans shop, and the organization will host a reception for five new members.
Members Marilyn Fegan, Deborah Dougherty Wester and Mary Padgett will open their home art studios to the public during the Art Trail, and their locations are listed on the Art Trail map.
Member demonstrations at Cazenovia Artisans also will take place on Saturday and Sunday. The schedule of demonstrations includes Leslie Green Guilbault (pottery), John Volcko (wood turning) and Bob Ripley (watercolors) on Saturday; and Dee Von Hunke (jewelry), Ede Walker (pottery), Maria Wiklund (felting), Betsy Sio (jewelry) and John Volcko (wood turning) on Sunday.

Also on Saturday, Cazenovia Artisans will host an open reception for five new members: Dave Eichorn (wood), Leslie Green Guilbault (ceramics), Shawn Halperin, (wood) Betsy Sio (jewelry) and Maria Wiklund (felted scarves and accessories). The reception is from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, and is free and open to the public.
On Sunday, October 1, Cazenovia Artisans will welcome its new Visiting Artist Katya Bratslavksy. A Russian born acrylic painter, Katya’s paintings will be at the shop for the entire month of October. Her opening reception will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6.
