Jewelry and jewelry boxes will be highlighted at Cazenovia Artisans for the month of October. There will be a special showing of new jewelry by three member artists in addition to a new woodworker who joins the Artisans as its visiting artist for the month.
“The Art of Jewelry” showcases the new works of DeeAnn vonHunke, Susan Machamer and Barbara Gilbert. These three jewelers will be showing new pieces each within their own styles.
Cazenovia Artisans also welcomes Eric Arcese, a non-traditional woodworker, into its Visiting Artist program. Arcese will bring his sculpted wooden jewelry boxes to the gallery for the entire month of October. These boxes radiate with the figure and rich colors of natural woods.
A reception for DeeAnn vonHunke, Susan Machamer and Barbara Gilbert will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, at Cazenovia Artisans. Meet the artists and discuss their new works. Light refreshments will be served.
