When three of the top Onondaga High School League boys golf teams met up on a chilly Saturday at Skaneateles Country Club, it was the home team that finished on top.
Skaneateles improved to 9-1 overall by shooting 215 to the 217 posted by Westhill, while Cazenovia finished behind both sides by finishing at 222.
The Warriors were 11-1 going into the match, but unbeaten against league foes, its lone defeat coming to Baldwinsville on Oct. 13, and it would get a superb round from Anthony Maglisco, who led all individuals by shooting 35 for nine holes.
To counter it, Skaneateles had Tynan Jones post a 37, with Tyson DiRubbo getting a 43, Shawn Luce earning a 44 and Drew Henderson finish with a 45. Charlie Major and Ken Byrne both finished at 46.
By contrast, aside from Maglisco no other Westhill golfer fared better than the 45s shot by Michael Britt, Aidan Ryan and Luke Gilmartin, while Devin Young had a 47 and James Hunt had a 52.
Cazenovia was led by Alex Moesch, who shot 39, but none of the other visiting Lakers were close to that total as Chris Kelly had a 45, one ahead of Jack Byrnes, Cody Dickinson and Liam Colligan.
