It may have taken a couple of weeks, but the East Syracuse Minoa/Liverpool/Chittenango girls gymnastics team finally made it to the win column.
ESM/Liverpool/Chittenango defeated Baldwinsville 130.8-126.2 last Monday night, led by Ashlyn Fuller, who achieved an all-around score of 35.5.
Fuller won three different events, scoring 9.0 on both the uneven bars and balance beam, while also tying B’ville’s Lauren Addario for first place on floor exercise, each with 8.7 routines.
Devin Myers put up a 9.2 vault as Fuller was second with 8.8. Delia Korszeniewski, second in all-around with 33.0, had an 8.8 on the beam, 8.3 on the floor and 8.0 on uneven bars for top-three finishes in all those events.
This followed a 140.9-131.7 defeat to Whitesboro on Sept. 17 where Myers scored 8.9 on the vault, and preceded Saturday’s s meet at New Hartford.
Jamesville-DeWitt/F-M went to Central Square Friday and claimed a convincing 141.75-121.25 victory over the Redhawks, with Taylor Fishkin getting 37.15 all-around points and Rylee Fishkin earning 35.3all-around points.
Taylor’s 9.5 floor routine was just ahead of Rylee’s 9.4, with Taylor also scoring 9.45 on the vault and 9.4 on uneven bars to win those apparatus.
As for Rylee Fishkin, she got her lone victory on balance beam with a 9.1 routine to the 8.9 for Central Square’s Sage Wolfe. She also finished with a 9.4 for second place on the floor.
