Cazenovia — Cazenovia High School seniors Olivia McEntee and Sophie Goris last Friday announced their respective plans for where they plan to attend college and play lacrosse.
McEntee signed a National Letter of Intent to attend LeMoyne College on an athletic scholarship and join the LeMoyne Dolphins lacrosse team. McEntee said she had previously visited the school, where her sister also attends, and last summer was actively recruited by the team coaches. “They have a great coaching staff and great girls,” McEntee said. “I just fell in love with the school.” She plans to pursue an academic path toward becoming a physician’s assistant.
Goris announced her early decision to attend SUNY Cortland and join the Red Dragons lacrosse team. Goris said she chose Cortland because the school offered her preferred academic program of criminology and psychology, and the lacrosse coach recruited her to join the team. “I play for the Orange Crush club team and the coach told me she would love to have me [at Cortland],” Goris said.
