The Greater Cicero Chamber of Commerce and Driver’s Village will present the 24th annual Cicero Community Festival from 5 to 11 p.m. Friday, June 10, and 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, June 11, in the parking lot and grounds behind Sacred Heart Church, 8229 Brewerton Road, Cicero.
The theme for this year’s event is “It’s a Mardi Gras!”
The highlight for Friday evening is the 14th annual Cruise Night, hosted by the American Muscle Car Club. The car show features more than 300 show cars. Admission on Friday is $7 for show cars, $3 general admission.
Also Friday: entertainment from Fast Eddie and the Rusty Nutts from 6 to 10 p.m.
Saturday festivities kick off at 11:30 a.m. with the “It’s A Mardi Gras!” community festival parade. The Grand Marshals for the parade and festival this year are Tom and Becky from B104.7. The schedule on Saturday also includes the Cicero Community Craft and Business Show and the Star Search competition from 3:15 to 5 p.m. There’s the fun zone for the kids, along with martial arts and karate demonstrations plus a dunk tank.
In the evening at 10:15 p.m., it’s the Price Chopper Fireworks.
Festival admission is free on Saturday.
Saturday’s live entertainment includes Los Blancos from noon to 3 p.m. and Letizia and the Z Band from 6:15 to 10:15 p.m. On both days there will be a variety of non-food and food vendors.
