Town of Marcellus recreation programs
It is that time again to start planning for summer activities!
The Town of Marcellus Parks and Recreation will offer our playground program for the month of July. The program begins on Tuesday July 5 and runs Monday- Friday until July 29 from 9 a.m. to noon.
The cost is $80 for the entire month and children will have the opportunity to participate in arts and crafts, organized games in the gym and outdoors, and much more.
Field trips will be available in the afternoon for an additional charge. This program is for children entering first grade through entering sixth grade.
We will also hold our week long kindergarten program at KCH Elementary school July 25 to July 29. This program is great for children entering kindergarten in the fall. It gives them the opportunity to become familiar with the school and meet some new friends. The cost of this program is $55 for the week.
Our ever popular swimming lessons program at the Skaneateles YMCA & Community Center is being offered for only $65/student.
Session I is from July 5 to 14, Monday through Thursday, please note the first week will be Tuesday through Friday due to the July 4th holiday and Session II is from July 18 to 28, (Monday through Thursday. Have your child learn to swim in a fun and safe environment with their friends!
Check out all our summer programs and community info in the summer brochure to come home with students in kindergarten through sixth grade in early May. Additional copies can be found at the Marcellus Town Hall and Marcellus Library. It will also be available online at our website marcellusny.com.
Our overnight trip will be to Ogunquit, Maine Sept. 25 to 28, 2016 we will stay at the beautiful Meadowmere Resort.
While in Maine we will visit the LL Bean store and outlets in Freeport, enjoy the Nubble Lighthouse cruise, take a guided tour of Kennebunkport, make a stop in Sturbridge Village and much more!

A $150 down payment is due by July 1to secure your registration, spots are filling quickly!
2016 Bingo Dates: Mondays, May 16, June 13, July 11,and October 17. We are now taking registration forms for the May 16 trip.
Our bus leaves at 8:30 a.m. and returns approximately 5 p.m. Cost: $18/person.
You will receive $15 in Bingo Bucks to use as you choose, and a $5 meal coupon. A Gambling Package is available for those Individuals who do not want to play Bingo. The bus will depart from the Village Municipal Parking Lot behind St. Francis Catholic Church. Call or stop into the town hall for a registration form.
