Onondaga County Executive Ryan McMahon and Galaxy Media Chief Operating Officer Carrie Wojtaszek announced details for a new drive-thru event series, Halloween at the Park last week.
The series will run from Ot. 1 to 31 at Jamesville Beach Park.
“Onondaga County is proud to partner with Galaxy Media to present a new family friendly event,” McMahon said. “We know that families in our community are looking for safe things to do and we are excited that Galaxy Media and their partners are launching a new event at one of our great county parks.”
“We are so proud to continue our partnership with Onondaga County,” Wojtaszek said.
“We’re looking forward to creating a new family Halloween tradition that thousands of people from our community can enjoy each and every year.”
Halloween at the Park is a collaborative effort from the same event teams that create Lights on the Lake, Fright Nights and Lights on Jacob Lane.
The Halloween at the Park drive-thru celebrates Halloween in a family-friendly COVID safe way.
Visitors will follow a lighted path in their vehicle as they see festive Halloween-themed displays along the trail.
There will be five thematic sections to drive through that will include large wooden structures, LED light displays, and actors will help the sections come to life. The price of admission will be $10 per car Sunday through Thursday and $15 per car Friday and Saturday.
In order to ensure a contactless experience, tickets need to be purchased in advance at Halloweenatthepark.com.
A limited number of vehicles will be allowed through the show each night.
Visitors can log onto the website to buy their pre-sale pass for a specific date in October.
Dunkin’ Halloween at the Park is presented by the Summit Federal Credit Union and Upstate Golisano Children’s Hospital.
Halloween at the Park will be partnering with the Joy in Childhood Foundation which provides the simple joys of childhood to kids who need it most.
Donations will be accepted on the event website at Halloweenatthepark.com.
A suggested $5 donation will get your family’s name on a pumpkin yard sign that will be displayed at the end of the show as the event strives to create CNY’s largest pumpkin patch.
The Halloween at the Park entry is at the main gate of Jamesville Beach Park, located off Apulia Road in Jamesville.
