To the editor:
After a full year in development, CACDA (Cazenovia Area Community Development Association) was pleased to open Caz CoWorks earlier this month. We have several goals for the initiative: 1) provide a space where freelancers and telecommuters can have access to comfortable work space and the amenities of a modern office, 2) bring more people into the village on a daily basis, 3) offer another service that helps make Cazenovia a great place to live and work, and 4) generate income to fund ‘Main Street’ projects. All profits from Caz CoWorks will be dedicated to local projects to enhance our community.
Our space at 87 Albany St. has been transformed into a modern, yet comfortable and charming place to work. This could not have been possible without funding from the Gifford Foundation, furniture donations from GHD and countless hours of volunteer time.
We are truly grateful for the donation of time and talent from many community volunteers, including many board members and their families, our student members and others. Specifically, we would like to thank Anna Marchant, Rick Marchant, Cathy Savage, Glenn Savage and Lynn Hart for truly going above and beyond to get Caz CoWorks open for business.
Please visit our website at cazcoworks.com or call 655-7651 for more information or to schedule a tour. In addition, we will hold open houses on the remaining Wednesdays in January from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please stop by and visit us.
