To the editor:
We write in support of the re-election of Tim Crisafulli and the election of Stewart Weisman to the Fayetteville-Manlius Board of Education.
Tim Crisafulli is the current president of the Fayetteville-Manlius Board of Education. He is a former social studies teacher in our district who currently practices law. Tim’s leadership abilities and understanding of the needs of our district have been evident this year as he guided the board through the decision process to renovate Wellwood. His motivation for serving on the board is a commitment to ensuring that all students in the district receive a high quality education from staff who are supported and given the resources necessary to educate students.
Stewart “Stu” Weisman is a tenured professor at Cazenovia College and an attorney. His teaching experience will be an asset to the board in our continued efforts to ensure all of our students are prepared for success in college. As a federal mediator, Stu is trained to resolve challenging issues in a fair and impartial manner.
The Fayetteville-Manlius Board of Education as a whole does not endorse candidates. This letter is our individual endorsement of two candidates that we as current board members believe have the leadership, character and dedication to public education needed in board of education members.
